An original schoolhouse, this pretty pink property has kept its original character and some original features but has been completely reconfigured inside and converted into a comfortable holiday home. Roughly two miles west of Schull. Sleeps 5/7.

Downstairs:   Airy and spacious the Old Schoolhouse has a good sized kitchen, dining and small sitting room. There is a small breakfast bar, dining table and chairs, a couple of easy chairs and a small sofa arranged around a traditional wood burning stove.

The kitchen has shaker style fitments with an electric double oven with grill, a fridge/Freezer (3/4 fridge, ¼ freezer), el. Kettle, coffee maker, toaster, microwave. Plenty of ware and utensils. A separate and roomy utility room houses a second sink, washing machine, drier and there is an iron and board.

Flooring is original hardwood wide planking and the kitchen is quarry tiled.

A second full size sitting room has a tv, video, dvd, open fire and three piece suite.

Bedrooms & Bathrooms: Downstairs, there is a single room and next door a shower room with wc and whb. Upstairs a good size bathroom, hot press and dual immersion. Three further bedrooms upstairs, include two double bedded rooms, one with an en suite shower, wc, whb. One twin room and a fourth bedroom with one single bed and a permanent heavy duty cot. The floors are pine planking with rugs.

Garden: Set high on its site, the property is completely surrounded by well kept grass. Plenty of running and jumping space. The area is gated and a gravel drive area opens into a spacious parking area.There is some garden furniture and some of the old school benches are outside, a reminder of past times. Views are completely rural and nothing passes along the road without being seen. The rear of the Schoolhouse gives a totally private garden area.

Hazards / Drawbacks: Nothing obvious, except it should be noted there is a small, stream running to one side of the property.

General Comments: Five minutes drive to Schull, the house is well on its way to the west, Goleen village and the sandy beaches at Barley cove. An ideal holiday house, with plenty of space inside and out. Popular it has been a happy location for numerous holidaymakers over the past few years. Central heating.
